Something new

And that is A new hairstyle..

I went with a couple of my friends to the hairdresser to finally update my style.. A few hours with friends in a hair salon is a very funny thing.

I wasn't planning on any color or style, I just wanted the change, so I left the stylist to choose for me, I just wanted it as light as I can get with my skin tone , and as short as possible to go well with my full face.

I like the outcome very much 7amdillah, and my friend's style is good too.. We had a fun afternoon doing female bonding over feminine stuff ..loool

Something good

Well I have one small thing to talk about today, it might be small but in reality it is a big deal for me.. I finally had the will to start dieting again..

Yah I guess the trip had it's effects on me, so now I am joining my friend and her daughter in a diet system where they deliver 3 meals and a snack every day to the house. All I have to do is stick to what's been delivered and try to do some kind of work out to burn calories.

I started last Tuesdays and so far I am doing good mashallah in sticking to it. I feel sometimes like I wanna eat something big, something tasty.. But I don't.. And I am thankful to Allah for that. I need all the inner strength I can get to go back to being the old me, the me that was lost in the middle of the tension and despair I've been through..

And just to make things clear, my marriage wasn't all that, there were many many good times and happy memories which I will never deny or ignore.. But sometimes bad feelings creep into life unnoticed till one day you find it all over overpowering anything else..

Anyways, enough about negativity, it's time for being strong and positive.. wish me luck :)

Old buildings + nature = lovely pictures

I just love the look of old buildings, bricks and stones, with greenery growing in the middle , or around them..









And finally I was able to see many many many of my favorite flowers growing naturally and happily all around .. My loved Hydrangea..



This seagull was proudly standing on the light pole where we were having breakfast in the hotel balcony in Istanbul, He stood there for a long time, but not long enough for me to take out my camera and take the picture before he was disturbed by the lady sitting right under that pole..!



I loved the look of this Cart selling grilled corn, the smell was yummy and they were similar carts all over the place in Istanbul's sulanahmet area ( I hope I am not remembering the name wrongly!)

I'm baaaaack...!

Well if you missed me and my posts I was in a 9 day vacation , we went to Turkey. It was my first time there and I just fell in love with the country..

A great place to be, and even with the limited time we had we still managed to see a lot mashallah. My kid was to travel with her dad to visit his family, a first since our divorce, she would stay a whole week away from me.. So instead of staying home feeling sad from missing her, my mom and I decided to take the advantage of us being alone to travel together again.. We haven't done that since I got married.

And for those of you who don't know how my mom and I travel , hmmm , well what can I say.. No trip is without great adventures.. and nothing is quite easy loool. But of course fun fulled 7amdillah.

We traveled through many cities spending each night in one, we used trains, buses , taxis and planes to do that.

It was a great trip mashallah, and I came home with 240 pictures.. I'll leave you with some of them. Enjoy :)

A date at chilli's

A whole year later..

Our orphan little kitten, which we fed milk using an eye drop ourselves, is now a mommy..



How time flies.. she now has three small kittens, cute and adorable..

A project finished

I finally finished the paper bag photo album which I started back in February..

I was short by three pages , and I happened to be in a reasonably good crafty mood so i decided to get it over with, I hate to have unfinished projects waiting for me on my desk..

So here they are..

But over all it was a fun project to do. Hope you likes it.

My 7th grade , I was just transferred from Khobar to Jeddah and it felt bad..

I have to say my first grade teacher, and my high school physics teacher

math and Arabic grammar ( قواعد)

*Worst subjects
I would have to say biology and history and geography . even though i love traveling and historic places , but the subjects were really taught badly here .. :P

I have a bachelor's degree in food and nutrition.

*Funniest moments during school years
Hmmmmm... nothing that funny, mostly good times in high schools with friends when we used to go to each other for visits or have a party in school.. good times.

* worst moments
I think it was in the 6th grade when one of the teachers accused me and my friend of stealing things from her classroom, and insisted to search our bags in front of everyone in the classroom.. But it turned out a happy ending because after we complained to the principle, she came and talked to us in front of everyone and made that teacher apologize for such a humiliating behavior.. ugh bad memory.

ok sorry i can't think of enough energy to translate this to Arabic loool lazy me.. and I pass this to um Adnan ..if she will be wanting to do it..lool
