Eid... wish it was here more often :)

Hi all, Hope you had a happy two day Eid so far, we had the best mashallah.. It was a great eid this year, I felt great and happy and calm and enjoyed every minute of my days 7amdilla.

So of course we started with the decoration and gift wrapping.. Not very elaborate but still festive.






The morning of Eid the men of the family came for breakfast and we opened the gifts , who could sleep during the night when there r many gifts to be opened just hours away? not a certain little one.. :)







At night the whole family came to our house for dinner, more gift opening and a lot of fun for both kids and adults..

Back home

Hi all, I'm baaaack..:P
Well it was a very nice vacation mashallah, mostly family and friends visits which I missed for almost two years since I last was in Jeddah.. Ofcourse that was after the kiddo was done from her chicken pox..!



We didn't do much beside those visits but what's there to see other than malls ans restaurants? Khobar is already filled and that's all we can do in our daily life anyways lol.

The little one had so much fun mashallah staying at grandpa's house, seeing her lovely aunty and playing with many cousin's and friends.



I had a great time visiting two of my friend's shops... Actually one is a bridal shop that is so cute mashallah, the other is a art center to teach painting and crafts classes.. I just loved the work my friend did on her place mashallah, I feel jealous.. good jealous :P

Ramadan mubarak

Hi all, I am in jeddah now for a vacation, or a family visiting time to be more precise. I am staying in my dad's house and saw my baby sister for a few days before she had to leave back to the UK where she lives, it was great I haven't seen her since a very long time, I can't even remember for how long.

My kiddo got sick with chicken pox once we came here, and we are staying home for a house arrest till she gets better. It could be worst, at least I get to see dad after he finishes work and it's a great house mashallah lol.

So Ramadan is here again, sub7an Allah how time flies so quickly. Wishing u all an accepted month of fasting and praying and peace..

Work of art

I forgot to check when was my last post, but I kind of lost track..lol

Nothing much happened, same everyday activity, or non activity.. Visits to family and friends, good times, boring times .. 7amdillah good health..

I miss my friend L badly.. She went to South Africa with her family, hope she comes back safely and have a great time.

My kid is bored without school, sometimes she would occupy her time with fun useful things like painting.. Her latest work mashallah really impressed me.. she did the drawing and mom colored with her.. ( mom helped a bit by drawing the chair )

Well this is my latest project..



I really have no idea what it is going to be after I am done with it, I'll think of that later, it still needs alot of additions after the sewing. But I have a good feeling about it. We'll see..

Bahrain trip

My dear uncle and his lovely family came to visit us, we had a good time and they invited me and my kiddo one day to go to Bahrain with them, and surely I said ok :)

It was a very nice trip, mashallah my little one had an instant connection with them all and I hardly felt her being there. We toured the malls a bit, had lunch at chili's and I watched a movie "Omar w salma2" it's an Arabic movie and wasn't like I hoped it would be, but liked it all the same.

Yesterday we went to the indoors amusement park in Rashid mall with some friends, the kids played a few games and had a good time.



I usually don't like going to those places, lots of waiting around and running after the little ones, but hey I have to do it every once in a while for the sake of my little princess, don't i?



She is an only child and it's hard for her in general when she wants to enjoy herself, so when I have an opportunity to go with other little ones I take it, so she can have fun with someone her age..



While we were there we saw this nice creature sitting calmly on his cage, my friend's girls played with him for a while, he was very cool about it..



All in all it was a good day 7amdillah.

Looooooooong time no posts..:D

Well what can I say? it's summer and things are somehow slow here..they were busy for some time while my friend was planning for her sister's wedding ( congrats Mimi the pretty bride ) and I was helping a bit here and there.

It turned out to be a pretty party, I went there to help from noon and had a very good time, I have always enjoyed planning or help preparing for parties, and we had many things to work on ( My dear friend did a marvelous job mashallah organizing the whole thing, Allah yi36eeha al3afya) and the place was filled with workers of all kind, hotel staff and family of the bride.. It was crazy funny.

I only managed to get a pic of the stage in which the bride and groom were gonna sit on ( kosha in Arabic, dunno the name in English)

This is it after the bride's brother did the decoration himself, after ordering an extension and a step just a few hours before the actual party.. Told you it was crazy funny :)



She looked very cute mashallah , wishing them happiness for ever inshallah.

Then I just kind of went into sleepy mode, my back hurt a bit after the party I guess I managed to pull or push a heavy thing , yikes.. But 7amdillah it's not a very bad pain I can still move.. But nothing crafty to share, I feel out of talent suddenly lol. One of those phases I guess.

We had visitors from Jeddah and had a good time with them, my kid sure did ;)



That's all the news I have, I might go on vacation to Jeddah sometime soon , although for some reason I don't feel like going anywhere in this heat, except maybe to somewhere cool and green and nice... Ahhh Turkey... I wish.

Oh yah and I cut my hair VERY VERY short, it startles me when I see it in the mirror... Mom cut my hair to be more presice, I told her I want it short but it got shorter than I expected, but who cares it's hot and I am bored and it was always gathered anyways.. At least now I don't have to look for a hair band :P
And I made mom cut the kid's hair too looool she likes it and hates it at the same time, but I prefer it this way, I feel it better suits her age and personality..
Thank god hair grows back :P

A summer with kids..

I know I am with kids all year long mashallah, but this is the only thing that came to my mind when I wanted to write this post lol..

It's all about the fun times my kid is having with her friends, while I am having a good time with the mom too ;)

The loveliest furry creature mashallah, they have this bunny which they called lollypop ( I think :P) .. I love how he is standing on the plate eating.



It's so hot and we just feel like staying home and sleeping... But in between we are having a good time 7amdillah..

Which brings me to the most saddening news I have heard in a while, my second cousin, which is my age and is like a sister to me has just been widowed, her husband, died a few days ago suddenly in a bike accident.. It breaks my heart, for her and for their two little kids... I can feel some of her pain when she sees her kids asking about their dad, and when I think of all the changes she will have to make eventually.. It's not easy losing a husband in any way, but death is so much harder since there will never be a time to say good bye...
My heart and prayers are with her and their family.. May he rest in peace.. Allah yir7amu.

I don't want to end my post with sad news, but this is life... Both happy and sad moments... May all our days be happy inshallah..
